My intention with this post was mostly just to make sure people were aware of the latest changes around LJ & what the current kerfuffle was about.

While I do <3 LJ, I'm not persuaded that this boycott is going to be widespread or long-lasting enough to make a difference.

An LJ Apology

It doesn't make everything better, but it's something.

The jury's still out as far as how LJ will proceed from here... I'm disliking the highly mercenary tone that the latest ideas have had, though. I understand the need for revenue, but the approach is disconcerting.

I really am hopeful that things will shape up around LJ-land, but I'm archiving my LJ too just in case things continue to change for the worse.
